Audiotape Sermons

What you are about to hear is a recording from the late 1940s of a radio broadcast from the Central Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee. These programs were originally recorded on sixteen inch disks that were used by WLAC radio. Over two hundred of these unique disks were placed in the Center for Restoration Studies by the Central Church in the summer of 1999. This sample includes a sermon by minister A. R. Holton along with singing by a small group at several places in the program.

Please note that the recording you will hear is a "raw" version of the material in its present form with all the crackling noise that entails. A project to clean, catalog, transfer and make available much of the recorded heritage preserved in these records will hopefully begin soon. In the meantime, enjoy this sermon from 1947.
