SPRING CAMPAIGN BEGINS

PHILIPPINES CALLING

Dale C. Flowers left for the Phillipines Feb. 14. He will be
working in Regions 1, 2, 3, along with Metro Manila. The stay
will last until late April.
While there he will conduct about 20 Gospel meetings and be
involved in several lectureships. In addtion he will be
setting up congregational schools in the remote areas. These
schools will be for members of the local areas who can not
travel to permanent schools. They will contain about 20
hours of instruction in one week. The basics will be covered.
There are many week-end schools in operation. This work will
in no way "compete" with them. It's sole purpose is to
ground the local people in the faith in order to stabalize the
congregations in the area.
Dale will also be bringing a large amount of medications
(asprin, triple antibotics, etc...) for distribution, primarily
at the "Healing Hands Medical Clinic" operated by Dr. Eliane
Bacani in Caloocan City. Dr. Bacani operates a free clinic for
expectant and new mothers, along with pediatrics.
A dental mission was just completed in Mangaldan with
great results. This is an semi annual event.
Dave and Irene Flowers continue to work on Irene's visa
in order that they can come to America where Dave will attend
college and receive preacher training.

GREAT NEWS:
Dale C. Flowers is now under the oversight of the Hartsville
Pike Church of Christ, PO Box 36, Gallatin, TN 37066-0036.
All funds are to be sent there. They are providing a large portion
of his personal support (work fund is pretty much in place) and
also office space. He will be worshipping with and working
with that congregation when in the States. He will still
use Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings to make reports
and to raise funds. He is still short of about half his personal
support and needs some congregations to step up to the plate.

MAY AS WELL JUMP OFF AND GET WET
One of the most needed items in the Philippines is literature.
The best way to get literature is to print it. The congregation
at Clark has an old press which is in operation. But there
is a need for a better press, book binder, etc.... We want the
kind of press that is hooked up to the computer so that plates
are not necessary. My best estimate is $30,000.00. Upon the
completion of raising my personal support (haven't had a pay day
in four years) it is my intention to begin to raise funds
for that press.

Please pray for this work, and we won't turn down
financial assistace either.
